Reading

Reading this week was the same as my maths.
I had a reading test that was hard as that maths I was eager to know my score hoping it will be good. Reading took longer in my head but it was only half an hour.

Reading 3rd November

Sra cards were simple so i went up a colour then things got interesting I found easy that I was able to sim and scan really fast to find the key words. What I thought that was hard is that i got a few questions wrong on the second Sra card but at least i did a good amount and got them correct.

Maths Friday 3rd November

I was learning to find a answer using in input then the number to add take away and so forth. It was easy finding the answer but then it came to the point when i had to find the rule, like 3 something = 27 I learnt a lot but the task was almost easy for me.

Maths

Doing maths.
Maths was doing greater than and less than and equals. It was easy because I learnt it before and even with the 434.02 I still knew which was greater than and small than. After that my next task was to add up the number that equal to the number that been given and I had to use +,-,dividing,x It was hard trying to go through 19 of the questions and it kept getting harder by the moment it was time up and i only got to number 12.

Reading

For Reading.
me and my classmates were our learning with a special teacher that came to watch us and take notes. We were talking about different types of questions E.G Literal questions:Where you can find answers in the book. It was hard but when i got to the tougher stuff I felt like everything just went away everything became easy and I was able to answer tough things after all of it I felt proud of myself I just needed to think outside the box and stop over thinking the words.

Mind games

Today we were thinking about how we could make a shoe tower the could stand without any of them with support E.G:chair table and so forth. It was a game who could get the tallest shoe tower but my team were thinking outside the box and use the shoe lasses for support some other shoes from our bag for advantage.

It was really fun communicating and at the end we won with a total was 58cm But I liked the teamwork and the ideas we had it helped us win but the stickiness of the room was rather close to killing me.




Our next activity we did was a game of luck we had to go on these colour pads and the caller would say a colour and anyone who is standing on the colour would be out. On the first colourI was out and I was disappointed. My second round was out on the 3  call.Image result for 5 colour circle

I was learning all about temperatures E.G if the temperatures were 2  c and roses by 3 c (Anw) 5 c
Learning this is really helpful for my life because you would never know when you might need it for weather reporter, being a  scientific teacher all of those jobs use math and My test was a 14/14 It took awhile but I got though I check it just to make sure if there was any mistakes and It was fine. I didn't know how to enplane how it got some of the equations .

Math for this week(W7-Term3)

Monday (9/4/17)
I was learning measurement like milliliters liters and kiloliters It was easy I found it easy because we had to describe what the kl ml and kl were meant for and what would suit them. E.g The quantity of water in an ocean. Answer)Kiloliters. And I had to turn milliliters to liters and liters to kiloliters it was easy because I knew that 1,000 ml is 1 Liter. Q)Convert 1,900 milliliters to liters/(A 1.9 Liters.) and I had 26 Questions to answer and got 23/26 I think i could reread the text before I get it worng because I thought  I saw the answer properly but I guess not.

Maths this week (Term 3 Week 5)

Tuesday 22 August
For math I was doing algebra but I was on the last level It was easy because I learned this from last year and I didn't find anything hard but everything easy . At the end the games it was like solitaire when i gladly won it started to move. I was so happy because I was on this algebra for ages

Wednesday 23 August
Maths was doing prodigy today, and one of the question that I kind of struggle on was Is 771,431 divisible by 2? I was on this for a minute to read the question but I Look at the units digit:771,43The units digit is 1. The rule says that 771,431 is not divisible by 2.  But some of the other questions was 50/50 because it was about prim factors and I am not the good at it when they show up the hard questions. The thing I could improve to help with these is by place value and decimals.

Thursday 24 August
(Prodigy) Today I was doing number lines trying to solve some tricky questions, would it do negative or positive. The questions would go to the 4 digits numbers and being tricky at the same time. I didn't find it that difficult. i was tested with another task that in my opinion had to find the rhythm, Because i had to find out what was the number that I had take or add on to the numbers to match the diagram. What I found simple was that the number line was easy at first when it was 3 digits because then it wasn't hard for it to be complex. Sorry for no screen shots for any proof .it's hard to take a screen shot of what you did with a new laptop that you had for a few days.

Reading (Week 4 Term 3).

Monday 14 august
Read theory
I was meant to be with my teacher but my teacher was away so I did read theory. I was using my prior knowledge to get the answer re reading the text. Getting key words to infer what the story was about. But i was getting board because I had to read paragraphs.

Maths (Week 4 Term 3)

Monday 14 august
Prodigy.
I did good at prodigy for the first to minutes but then the questions got harder and harder. at the end of the spec i was stuck on one question but eventually got it right. I was doing well getting answers right even as I was going slow I rather have question right then get them wrong. One of the question that I found hard was  Is 9 a prime number or a composite number? A)Composite.

Tuesday 15 August
Manga high
The first task I did took a few tries for me to get a gold. I thought the question wasn't the hard but It paid of because I came first. I didn't find anything hard because some of the question had what would a 3 cuboids look like.

Wednesday 16 August
Manga high
Today I was going to play deepest oceans, a game that you use the <greater or less>  knowledge but you have to get a certain amount of numbers to be able to go deeper. My at some point you might have to be quick because Just like normal Sumerians they run on gas. And if you run out of gas you loose. The deeper I went the harder levels there are Getting deeper and deeper and I was almost out of gas. I tried to get the lest number but I ran out of gas and my score was saved but It was't the stranded level that I wanted. But my goal was to past level 23 and It's the goal for the week.

I was doing well in the game. I found easy at first than the big numbers starting coming in and started to give me less time to complete the others. My goal is to get a better idea of the game and and to understand the bigger numbers to get a better results.

Reading

WALT practice making inferences based on clues in the text

SC:

  • Identify key words
  • Activate prior knowledge about the topic
  • Make an educated guess about the question
  • Explain your answer
On reading we had to use our prior knowledge to find out the answer. With the clues we were able to get the answers, But we had to make our own. So sometimes you had to put yourself in the objects point of few to create the clues. I did well using my head to think, And putting myself others shoes gave the idea of how they might fell. The bad thing is that I was running out of ideas making my own because everybody kept stealing my idea.

E.G:I help people go to place to place. You would mostly see me in the sky "What am I?".

AWS Level 3 - Sheet 3
Task 5
WALT name, describe and draw 2D shapes
SC:

  • Recall and discuss prior knowledge of shapes
  • Name shapes based on how many sides each has
  • Draw shapes
We were learning all the techniques to find out the 3D shapes,Octagon,Hexagon,Nonagon and more. The techniques we used were Hexagon sounded like 6 so the shape with 6 sides was the Hexagon. I found the 2D shapes easy at first but when it got to the end it was confusing. But with the techniques that Mr Edwards gave to us was realyl helpful I was able to at least get one wrong but everything right.

The Amusement of (Oliver twist)

Image result for oliver twistThe delighted show that I wanted to see was (Oliver twist) the bus was arriving, as I exited to see the free show. The bus ride was entertaining with people singing in the bus to past time. As we arrived I was Eager to watch the show already but I remembered that I had to be patient. As I sit down I see heaps of people around to see the show. As the lights goes down dramatic music starts to play and the show begins. The show had drama and at some parts it got me confused, Halfway through we had a break to go bathroom or stretch around. Finale part a there was a happy ending. The day was fun but It was time to go back to school. I was really appreciative and was thankful for the big opportunity that we got.
